Description

Ready to hop aboard the Oat Milk train? Healthy, dairy-free, and costs pennies to make. Give it a shot and serve with your favorite cereals and hot drinks.

Yields: 3 Cups

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Oats
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Instructions

1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until the oats have begun to break down and the mixture looks creamy – 20 to 30 seconds.
2. Pour the mixture through a sieve (or nut milk bag) into a bowl, being sure NOT to press the mixture down into the sides of the strainer as this can result in “slimier” oat milk. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 days.

Notes

Tip: When straining the oat milk towards the end of the process, don’t squeeze or press the oats too hard as that can give your milk a slimy consistency. Allow the liquid to drain naturally.
