Baked Brie with Pistachios, Almonds, and Apricot Jam

Baked Brie is probably one of the easiest appetizers out there, but always makes a great impression. Brie pairs well with sweet toppings – such as honey and jams. We used apricot jam and paired it with pistachios and almonds. Serve the cheese along side some apple or pear slices as well, they balance each other out well.

The most challenging part of the entire dish was moving the brie from the sheet pan to the cheese board. As the cheese is practically molten on the inside (yum), the rind is the only thing keeping the cheese in one piece and must be moved gently. But other than that this appetizer comes together in 15 minutes flat and is almost completely mess free.

Description

A simple but tasty treat for all seasons!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel Brie Cheese
  • 1/3 cup Apricot Jam (could also use Fig Jam or Honey)
  • 3 tablespoons Slivered or Sliced Almonds (could also use pecans or walnuts)
  • 3 tablespoons Shelled Pistachios, chopped
  • Crackers and Apple or Pear Slices to Serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Place brie on parchment lined baking sheet. Top with apricot jam, pistachios and almonds.
  2. Bake 10-12 minutes until heated through. Carefully move to serving tray or cheese board (will have an almost molten consistency held together by the exterior rind, be careful when moving as not to break the rind and spill the cheese). Serve immediately.
